after jailbreake and installed plex client in apple tv 2nd generation as described here and here, the following error was given every time I tried to play a video file.

the following steps helped my to solve the problem.
– Quit Plex
– Quit Plex Media Server (that’s the ‘>’ icon in your Mac’s top menu bar)
– Delete the following files:
~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-Ins/Framework.bundle
~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-Ins/System.bundle
(‘~’ is your user account name)
Once these 2 files have been deleted, start Plex server.
open safari and enter http://localhost:32400/system/:/prefs/set?AS_BETA=1
go to Plex On-line — more — check for updates.. and install all the available updates.
installed the ffmpeg plugin in my macbook Pro:
curl http://ambertation.de/downloads/PLEX/ffmpeg > ~/Downloads/ffmpeg
cp ~/Downloads/ffmpeg ~/Library/Application\ Support/Plex/Plex\ Media\ Server.app/Contents/Resources/
restart plex server one more time.
restart apple tv
connect apple tv to plex server and watch the videos.

it is impossible to delete above mentioned files. every time after plex starts those files back again
